橡（つるばみ）はどんぐりの古名。ブナ科の木の実。
白橡は、橡で染めた白茶色に近い色のこと。

‘Tsurubami’ is the old Japanese name for acorns, the fruit of trees in the beech family. ‘Shirotsurubami’ refers to a color that is close to a pale brownish hue, dyed with tsurubami.
