The man's mask could represent the different roles that we play in life. For example, we might wear a different mask at work, at school, or with our friends and family.

The man in the mask could also be seen as a metaphor for the human condition. We are all, in some sense, wearing masks. We all have hidden identities, and we all present different faces to the world.
